Louise ThaxtonIn September 2005, when Hurricane Rita hit Louisiana, Louise Thaxton and her family suffered a significant loss of income when one of her husband’s businesses was destroyed. He asked her “Can your business make money until mine is rebuilt?” At that point, Louise’s business by her own definition was “…drowning in mediocrity…” and she just wanted OUT of the business! But through a series of events in which she discovered her purpose and her passion, Louise came to understand the power principal of how changing the habits of your mind can change your life. She fell in love with her business again and increased her production by 400%! It has now become her passion to share with others the powerful principles and mindsets she discovered during this process so that they can accomplish the same degree of success. It is her mantra “…to change your life, you have to change your mind!”

Louise Thaxton is a Mortgage Planner from central Louisiana, and has been in the mortgage business for 13 years. She began her mortgage career working as Vice President of the mortgage department for a local bank during which time she attended and graduated from the Mortgage Bankers Association School of Mortgage Banking.

She has been a producing branch manager of a net branch with Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation for over 10 years, and has satellite offices across Louisiana and in part of Florida.

She is a regular contributor to industry publications. She has been a top producer within her company, ranking #1  in the nation in 2009 and 2010 for number of units closed. Hi Louise,

I met you at the Sales Mastery program in Palm Desert. I was very touched with your Boots campaign and your story of giving back. I would like to start a program here in my home town of San Diego. If you could give me some advise on finding posters and media, as well as any ideas you may have on holding seminars for the military. I have not had good results speaking with the relocation dept on base or even with the base financial planner. It seems to me that they do not want to educate about the benefits of VA loans. I do a lot of VA loans and I love them. When a military family can get into a home with very little out of pocket money I get so excited for them. I would greatly appreciate any advice you can give.
